About this fragrance

Room 1015 | Wavechild Eau de Parfum

Created by perfumer Jérôme di Marino, Wavechild is a raw, high-energy tribute to surf culture and the rebellious spirit of Huntington Beach. This isn't your typical "blue" aquatic; it is a "wire-to-wire" burst of adrenaline that captures the electrifying blend of creativity and grit. It centers on a hyper-realistic, nostalgic Watermelon note, reminiscent of premium 90s sweets, that rides a crest of salty Ambergris and Coconut. It is the scent of sun-soaked skin, the sting of ocean spray, and the unapologetic freedom of the open coast.

Olfactory Pyramid:

  • Top Notes: Orange, Mandarin, Lemon

  • Heart Notes: Watermelon, Coconut

  • Base Notes: Ambergris, Amberwood, Cacao (Cocoa)

Vibe: Rebellious, nostalgic, energetic, and sun-drenched.

Performance: Surprisingly long-lasting for a fruity-aquatic (6–8 hours). It projects a juicy, playful aura in the opening that settles into a sophisticated, salty-sweet skin scent with a unique, creamy drydown.

Common Questions

What does Room 1015 Wave Child smell like? Citrus and coconut over a warm base. Orange, mandarin and lemon open it, watermelon and coconut form the heart, and ambergris, amberwood and cacao anchor it. Created by Jerome di Marino as a tribute to surf culture, it is deliberately not a standard blue aquatic - there is no marine note in it.

Is Wave Child a summer fragrance? Primarily, yes. Citrus, watermelon and coconut are warm-weather materials and it is built for heat. The cacao and amberwood base give it more staying power than most summer scents, so it carries into early autumn.

Is it masculine or feminine? Unisex. Coconut leans feminine by convention and the amberwood-cacao base pulls the other way; in practice it reads as neither.

Should I sample it first? Coconut is the deciding note and people feel strongly about it. The 1.5mL sample tells you in one wear.
