Outlands is a centerpiece of Amouage’s "The Essences" collection, a series that explores the profound effects of time and maturation on high perfumery. Crafted by perfumer Cécile Zarokian, this fragrance undergoes a unique "double-infusion" aging process: it matures for six months in artisanal oakwood barrels alongside 65-year-old Australian sandalwood chips. The result is a staggering 30% perfume oil concentration that captures a vivid dance between light and shadow. Outlands opens with an electric, zesty brightness before descending into a humid, verdant heart and finally settling into a magnetic, resinous warmth. It is an olfactory expedition designed for those who seek a scent of depth, complexity, and "old-world" mystery.
