Black Guava is a darkly atmospheric, hyper-addictive tropical-woody fragrance from the rebel South Korean niche house BORNTOSTANDOUT®, launched in 2025 and composed by perfumer Suzy Le Helley. Built on the concept of an eternal opposition between blinding light and absolute shadow, the fragrance explores the tension of a bright exotic fruit collapsing into a brooding, magnetic abyss. It opens with a mouthwatering, vibrant canopy of succulent tropical guava and zesty Madagascar mandarin, electrified by a sharp flash of spicy cardamom. It shifts into a rich heart where the animalic depth of dark agarwood (oud) collides with a lush, sophisticated bouquet of pink peony, velvety rose, and crisp geranium before grounding itself on an opulent, velvety base of rich amber, warm ambergris, earthy patchouli, and smoky cypriol.
